Next to ancient Carthage on the Mediterranian coast lies the picturesque city of Sidi Bou Said. This town was founded by Moors fleeing Spain during the Christian reconquest. The buildings are all painted white with the doors and windows painted blue with black trim. The effect of the colors, the mediterrainian climate, and the flowering Bougainvilla is pleasant in the extreme.
