While on a geological field visit to the Sahara Desert hosted by the Algerian National Oil Company, Sonatrach, we ate lunch at a small oasis on the old road from Ain Salah to Arak. If you look carefully, you can see the group standing under the shade of the trees. This oasis is the sight of a sad story more fully told in my Sahara snapshot.
